In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous changes resonate through the shadows." The storyline features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Content
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
